Structure and Application:

  • The 16A KSD301 water heater thermostat is a bimetallic disc-based temperature sensor. During normal operation, the bimetallic disc remains in a free state, and the contacts stay closed/open. When the temperature reaches the activation point, the heated bimetallic disc generates internal stress, causing it to snap open/close the contacts, cutting off the circuit and providing temperature control. Once the appliance cools to the reset temperature, the contacts automatically close/open, restoring normal operation.
