Water Temperature Sensor QC CG

 

 

 

Water Temperature Sensor QC CG series is a thermistor-based water temperature sensor. It is connected in series with the automobile's water temperature gauge circuit. Based on sensing the temperature of the water inside the engine cylinder water jacket, it automatically adjusts its resistance value. This dynamically measures the engine water jacket's water temperature to enable the driver to promptly understand whether the operating temperature of the cooling water inside the engine water jacket is normal.

Water cold type motorcycle, sandy beach car and it transforms car etc…

 

Material:

1. Sensing Element (Core Component)

NTC Thermistor: Made of metal oxide ceramics (typically manganese, nickel, and cobalt composites) for resistance-based temperature measurement.

PTC Thermistor: Uses barium titanate-based ceramics for self-regulating temperature detection.

KTY Sensor (Silicon-based): Consists of doped silicon for linear output, commonly found in German vehicles (e.g., Bosch sensors).

2. Probe & Housing (Structural Components)

Probe Tip: Stainless steel (Grade 304 or 316L) for corrosion resistance in coolant/antifreeze mixtures.

Threaded Body: Brass (CuZn39Pb3) for thermal conductivity and sealing compatibility with engine blocks.

Hex Nut: Chromed steel or brass for tool engagement and durability.

3. Electrical & Insulation Materials

Lead Wires: Nickel-plated copper with PTFE (Teflon) or fiberglass insulation (heat-resistant up to 200°C).

Internal Sealing: Borosilicate glass (glass-to-metal seal) or epoxy resin for waterproofing (IP67/IP69K rated).

Filler Material: Magnesium oxide (MgO) powder for electrical insulation and thermal stability.

4. Connector & External Parts

Connector Housing: High-temperature plastics (PPS or PA66 nylon) resistant to oils and coolants.

O-Rings: FKM (Viton®) or EPDM rubber for leak-proof sealing in coolant systems.
